I'm spoiling myself silly...

...for Gilmore Girls. It started out innocently enough, with me reading an interview with the new showrunner and since I read that I just don't care anymore.

I just...I'm at a loss for how to explain how any of this sounds like a good idea. Going into the seventh and most likely final season by spending 13 episodes on a character that's been in a couple episodes per season on average? Why are we supposed to care again? Oh right, because it prevents Lorelai and Luke from getting back together. *cue eyeroll*

I don't hate Christopher, but I find the character boring and Lorelai's obsession with him creepy. A woman nearing her forties should not still be thinking that her Rebel Without a Clue ex-boyfriend / kid's deadbeat father is The One.

I know I said I was going to give the show a chance this season, but by just looking at the general outline of this storyline made me realize that I have absolutely no interest. I think I'm going to read reaction posts, before making a firm commitment, but right now I can't imagine watching this final season. I'm guessing the end goal will still be Luke/Lorelai, I'm just not sure I'm interested in seeing even that anymore, but I can see tuning in if/when that starts happening again.

So, anyone got any specific GG spoilers to tell me about? What's actually known about the upcoming season? I know about Lorelai and Christopher apparently getting together, Logan being in England, but only for a while (I guess the wording was that "something happens to change that"), Luke getting to know April and Anna better, and I think that's it.

So I guess the final question is, is anyone going to watch this show come fall?

I spent half of my workday today translating an episode of Conan only to realize, halfway through, that it was a freakin' rerun and we probably already had a translation on file. D'oh! And then I just couldn't be bothered to do much more than recut the old file and turn it in.

I'm watching about 15 million shows right now because I can't seem to find one that will hold my attention. In the past few days I've finished season 2 of Farscape (I feel the need to take a break from the OMG!angst for a while because it only gets worse from here on out), watched about half of season 2 of OTH (out of sequence, but I'm finding myself very much not caring), seen the first five episodes of Popular (I'd totally keep watching if I had more episodes, because this show is the good kind of crack), and am about to start watching season 1 of Spaced. I hear good things, so here's hoping...

tv: farscape, tv: spaced, tv: one tree hill, work, spoilers, tv: popular, tv: gilmore girls
