No minute like the last minute, as usual
Ah, so I'm back in Texas, and all moved into East. RA training starts tomorrow. I love my new room. I has a toilet and shower! And I have a nice view of a tree from my window. And I have a real lounge! I'm confident that this year will be cool and fun. I know the building, I'm familiar with the job and expectations, and I think my staff is totally awesome. I'm mostly all unpacked. I forgot some important things, like my toothbrush and razer. Ugh. I'll have Gunnar bring them to me tomorrow, when he comes down. We're going to the 3:30 Latin mass at the Cathedral.
America is cool. I love pizza, and Mexican food. Every time I eat something for the first time since being back I make a big deal of how awesome it is to eat my first real hamburger in FOREVER, haha. Everything seems really big now, and more time passes since I got back, the more Japanese language in my head sounds like a pretend language. I have my computer back *huggles* and my sewing machine!
And now I am writing my paper for Lawson's class. Haha. It's due Monday. I have had two months, and I'm just now doing it. Well, I know what I'm writing about, and I have all my articles...I just have to peice it all together. And it's so much nicer writing my paper on my own computer in my own quiet room, where I can take time and post on LJ, and get up and pee whenever I want. Of course, I did waste a few hours on VH already. Grar.
It's the sorting now on VH, so I'm mostly blurbing. This week I'll get all my grades, fight some DEs, ya know. If you haven't finished DH, you're a turd. I have an awesome Nev avatar that I want to start using, but it has major spoilers. Let's just say that Professor Longbottom is like totally popular now, and I have had more hits on my Nev fanfics in the last two weeks than I've had in the year that they've been posted. Yeah. Come Aug. 20, the spoiler ban on VH lifts, and I'll be merciless in my posts here on LJ too.
