Traveling is torture

So there is supposed to be a typhoon this weekend. I keep having visions of my plane, out over the pacific ocean, getting sucked into a giant whirlwind of water and ending up in another dimension. Actually, that might be pretty cool, as long as I don't die. But really, I'd rather go home than to another dimension.

Also terrible about my return journey is that my plane out of Fukuoka and into Narita leaves so early in the morning that there is no bus in the world that can get me there the morning of. So I have to leave the night before.

Which wasn't so bad, I thought, except that little tiny Fukuoka airport won't let me stay the night there (six hours though it be) and I have to get either a hotel or go to an internet cafe. Which again, wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to take my luggage on the SUBWAY to get to the nearest cafe or hotel. Yep. My baggage which I will have to pay extra for because it is very heavy. My baggage which I will have to lug up about 400 stairs (Litterally, up the mountain) to get to the bus stop that will take me to Fukuoka.

From Fukuoka I go to Narita (Tokyo) (2 hours)  and from there to Chicago (12-13 hours), and from there to Austin (3 hours). IF my flight isn't cancelled because of the typhoon.

Besides all that. I'm just stressing about packing up all my stuff. I have to leave a crapload of stuff behind, because I just don't have room for it. I already mailed some stuff home too. Sheesh. Most of my luggage is books, shoes, and clothes. I'm leaving all my toiletries, extra towels, and any other non-souveneirs I bought here. My budget was a little too perfect--I have exactly the amount of money left that I predicted I would. Unfortunately, I didn't predict any emergencies popping up in the last week. So if I do have to find a hotel, or pay for some sort of new-flight-ish-thing, I'm pretty much screwed.

Anyway. If you pray, please pray for my safe journey back. Because if I don't get home, no one gets any of the cool presents I bought for them.
