Dylan phoned the other day to say that Connor and the rest of the team approved the plan to get Stephen and Captain Holtz out of their dimension to assist us. They entered the portal last evening to find them. Tori and Gabe will be there to stabilize the portal as they go through it. With any luck they shall return soon.
The captain planned a small offensive the other night. By all accounts it was a success. They captured a demon for questioning, Penn ported him back into the school where willow secured him with magic while I fastened him to a chair. Anya and Andrew have taken great delight in playing good cop, bad cop. However the only thing he has offered up so far is the information that the army medic, Paige, had been taken and had given up information pertaining to us. The Captain rose to her aid offering up the fact that she had been placed under a spell and forced to tell Ashmore what she did. Circumstances I understand all to well. What I do not understand is how the Captain could not tell us this. He put all of us in jeopardy, for one person. As much as I would regret any harm coming to this young lady, sacrificing many to save one is just not acceptable. I suppose one never knows how one will respond to a situation unless they actually have to face it themselves. The answers are never black and white. I only hope if the situation should arise again, Jackson will trust us enough to let us assist him. We are, after all, in this together.
Last night or more so early this morning the people stationed on the roof were attacked. No one suffered any serious injuries, thankfully. Something about this baffles me. Ashmore has the benefit of strength in sheer numbers. Why has he not come at us outright? Surely he could easily overpower our defenses, what is stopping him? There is a piece of this puzzle that I seem to be missing. For the life of me the answer eludes me. Perhaps I will call a meeting, maybe having more minds on the problem will led to a solution.
