(no subject)
Missed Walla Walla this weekend, and was (am) very upset. All my planning and preparation was for nothing. In a way though, I'm kinda glad I didn't go, cause I woulda been stuck like the Donner party on Sunday. Traffic on I-84 was, quite literally, stopped (and I mean NOT moving) for over two hours yesterday. Ashley talked to someone who came home through the Gorge on Sunday, and she said it took two hours to get through every city from The Dalles west.
Instead of Walla Walla Ashley and I got to spend an entire weekend together (the first full days we've gotten together since I started full time at the Humane Society). It was nice. Went to the coast on Saturday, got a tree on Sunday. I haven't really gotten to my Xmas shopping, but I get the next two days off, so I be fine. And my work schedule for the next two weeks is awesome: two days on, two days off, two days on, one day off, two days on, two days off, two days on, one day off, two days on, two days off. Because both holidays fall on a Sunday (my Wednesday) I don't work more than two days in a row. Its neato. Still looking around for a higher paying job, with no luck. Ashley started her new job this week, so soon the money will be rolling in. That'll be great for her, since she's always been so tightly budgeted.
Hopefully all my friend-types will be coming west for the New Year's holiday. That would be goot.
