Just the other day..
I met this guy in my building while waiting for the elevator. He struck up a conversation. Turns out we're both students going to SMU. I mentioned I was going into my 4th year and he said " I would be graduated by now, but I screwed up a couple times" I said "Yah, I did the same in my first year" He said "It's ok if you're parents are nice, I had to beg mine to give me another chance"
I just stared at him and said "oh...my parents don't pay for my school"
It drives me crazy that some people have such an easy ride through university. No, I don't want people to feel bad for me, or say things like "oh, it sucks that you have to work 2 jobs etc" I just wish that people who have it easy wouldn't take it for granted. I would LOVE to have a year off of work and be able to focus only on my studying. I'm so envious of those people who don't work, their parents pay for their school, rent and spending money.
And now...I have to go to work. Hahaha.
