1. Name: nina. some people call me neens… you may if you want.

2. Age: 20.

3. Gender: female.

4. What are your hobbies/interests outside of HP? How do you feel these hobbies/interests contribute to your personality? i enjoy working with kids. i like to read, watch movies, and listen to music. i think that the things i do contributes to my personality by giving me the ability to reference movies and music in everyday conversations. i also think that loving to work with kids adds fun and some spontaneity to my personality. it has helped to make me a more fun loving person.

5. Which Harry Potter character do you feel you can relate to the most? Explain. Which character is your favorite? Again, explain. i feel like i can relate to ron the most. the reason being is that he is kind of awkward in a lot of situations, and he can be quite clumsy, but he still has amazing friends that are there for him at all times-i feel like that is me in a nutshell.
my favorite character would have to be the weasley twins. i love fred and george. they are just always having fun and doing something new and daring and unexpected. and i love the fact that they have started their own business and are doing so well at it. they also are loyal to their family, and they don’t let people push their family around-only they are allowed to do that.

6. Give us the reasons for and against you being sorted into each of the houses.
a. Gryffindor
For: i am very loyal and true to my friends and fair to those around me.
Against. there are times when i don’t feel up to certain challenges that may arise.

b. Hufflepuff
For: i am a good listener, and i am always a friend to whomever needs me to be.
Against: i am not a pushover-i know not all hufflepuff’s are, but i am just saying.

c. Ravenclaw
For: i like to try to be on top of everything set before me. once i have my mind set to do something, i do it.
Against: sometimes i falter when it comes to studies, but i do try.

d. Slytherin
For: there are times when i feel like i just want to do something a bit conniving and maybe against the rules.
Against: i feel like there is a negative aura over the slytherin house, and i just don’t feel comfortable in that environment.

7. What was your least favorite moment in HP? probably when snape kills dumbledore. no matter how many times i read that part i still can’t grasp the situation. i just can’t put my mind around it. was it planned? did dumbledore know all along? it's just too perplexing for my mind.

8. What about HP appeals to you (e.g. the romance, the adventure, the friendships, the fantasy, the mystery)? all of it. there is no way I could pick which part of it appeals to me more. i enjoy interpersonal relationships a lot, so that is a big part of the appeal, but the adventure and the mystery just adds so much to the relationships that it is all important.

9. What would you do if your friend was in danger? What would you give up in order to save them? Would you lay your life on the line? i would do whatever was necessary to save a friend in danger. if necessary i would give my life. and, i am sure they would do the same for me.

10. Given a choice between fame and money, which would you choose? oh wow, that is a hard decision. i think that i would go with the money though. i don’t think i would deal well with people recognizing me everywhere and always bothering me-i would be nice to them, but i would want them to stop.

11 If you could only store one memory in the Pensieve to visit over again, which one would it be? Why? i would probably store a memory of a time when i was with all of my friends back at my college. my friends mean the world to me, and i want to always have a way to revisit them and the laughter they bring me.

12. What excites you the most in life? Where do you get the most joy and fulfillment? friendship and love excite me the most. i truly get the most joy out of my friends and the love that i receive and give.

13. If you were in Harry's position during the "Snape's Worst Memory" incident, how would you view Peter, James, Sirius, Lily, Remus, and Snape differently? Why? i would probably view james and his friends as bullies. i would feel like they were just trying to make themselves feel good by demeaning someone else. i would feel a little sorry for sirius because i don’t think that anyone deserves to be humiliated like that. and i would view lily as kind hearted.

14. Imagine you were an eleven-year-old Muggleborn witch/wizard who did not know about magic and had just received your Hogwarts letter. How would you react to leaving home and going to a magic school? i would be scared because the wizarding world would be something that i knew nothing about, but i would also be excited because it would something new and interesting and exciting to experience.

15. If you had access to a time turner and there were no regulations regarding its usage, what would you use it for and why? i would probably use it to go back and savor the small amount of time that i had with my boyfriend when he was in town. (he lives in new york. he is moving down next summer.)

16. In the Philosopher’s Stone (AKA Sorcerer’s Stone) Neville had a choice: he could let his friends go out at night when they weren’t supposed to and potentially they could lose points for his house, or he could confront them and stop them from breaking the rules. What would you have done in his situation? i would’ve warned them not to go. i would try to convince them that it wasn’t a good idea, they could get in trouble, and it wasn’t fair that they were putting the rest of the house in jeopardy.

17. Who (dead, alive, or fictional) do you most admire? This can be someone from real life or from Harry Potter. i admire my mom for her dedication to providing the best for her family, and staying true to who she is.

18. What is your favorite book outside of Harry Potter? What is it about this book that endears it to you? i really love the notebook. it just makes me feel like in the end true love will prevail over all obstacles.

19. You're sitting the final examination for a class that has given you a lot of trouble. Your grade is borderline, you really need to do well on this final to get an A. You can see the paper of your friend who sits next to you and who happens to excel in this subject. You've gotten to a question that you're stuck on. Do you glance at your friend's paper to figure out the answer or not? Why? no! i do not look at their paper for the answer. that is just not honorable and not in my character.

20. In Goblet of Fire, Harry was chosen for the Tri-Wizard Tournament even with the age-line. Ron was unable to enter because of the age restriction even though he really wanted to be a part of the Tournament. Was Ron right to be jealous/angry at Harry? Were Harry's reactions appropriate? Why? i think he had a right to be jealous at first, but i think that once harry told him that he didn’t enter himself, ron should’ve gotten over it. i think that harry had the right to be angry back at ron because ron just couldn’t accept the truth that harry told him.

21. Which class would you look forward to the most at Hogwarts? Which classes do you/did you excel in most at school? transfiguration. i would love to turn one thing into something completely different. i do well at literature and some math.

22. What would be the first place you visit during a Hogsmeade weekend? Why? probably the candy shop because i can’t help but have a sweet tooth. i get it from my dad.

23. In the wizarding world, all 5th year students are required to pick a career to focus on going into their 6th and 7th years at Hogwarts. What career path would you choose? Why? teaching. i would love to impart any knowledge that i have gained to others to help enrich their lives in whatever way possible.

24. In the Wizarding world, some pure-blood wizards consider Muggle-borns "filthy" and "horrible." In our world, people are categorized by their wealth, racial background, and appearance. What are your opinions on Muggle-borns? What are the qualities that you value in others? i think muggle-borns are just as worthy to be witches and wizards as pure-bloods. if you have the talent, why should it matter where you come from? i value the true character of others most. i value their thoughts, opinions, and their morals.

25. You have stumbled across five magical wells. One is the Well of Common Sense and Logic, the second is the Well of Creativity, the third is the Well of Optimism, the fourth is the Well of Physical Strength, and the fifth is the Well of Beauty. You can only drink from one well, but once you do you will be endowed with that ability for the rest of your life. Which well do you think you would definitely not need, and which do you think you would want to drink from? i would not need to drink from the well of optimism because, quite frankly, i tend to be very optimistic. i think i would drink from the well of creativity because a lot of the time i feel very incapable when it comes to being creative.

26. In Half-Blood Prince, we witnessed Harry force-feeding Dumbledore the potion that weakened him, even though it pained Harry to do so, because he promised Dumbledore he would do whatever he wished. If you were in Harry's position, would you have stopped feeding Dumbledore the potion, or would you have continued? Do you think it was right for Harry to do as Dumbledore wished? Explain. i would have continued feeding him the potion. dumbledore must have known that something horrible could happen while retrieving the horcrux, and that is why he made harry promise in the first place. harry made a promise, and you should stay true to your promises.
