The rest of the weekend passed with no discussion off what happened Friday night at The Lounge. Bam had spent most of those two days by himself. No real excuse was given to anyone on his actions. He just really wanted to be alone to think about things. Things he really could not even explain to himself.
Soon Monday came along and as promised, Bam showed up to Ville’s class and showed his respect. Slouching in his chair, he rested his right elbow on the small wooden desk, that was connected to the chair, while resting his chin on the palm of his hand. His eyes were staring at Ville’s figure at the front of the class. As he sat there half listening, Bam couldn’t stop random images race through his mind. First image was from the kiss in the parking lot. Then random images of them at The Lounge quickly took its place. The last image to pop into his mind was of Ville pulling him into a kiss. That was right, Ville had kissed him in that dark alley as Bam hid the two of them from a small group of guys.
That was how Bam spent the rest of the class for the next two weeks. His mind was anywhere and everywhere but on the class itself. For the first couple of days since the incident, Bam had tried to start up a conversation with Ville but he treated it like it never happened. Alright, two were able to play that game. But as the days passed, Ville started calling him Mr. Margera or Brandon instead of Bam.
However, he kept his end of the promise. He showed up everyday for class, but he never participated in anything. Instead of having his usual seat in the middle of the classroom, he now claimed one of the seats in the back corner as his own. On some days Nicole would sit with him, but others she would sit in their usual spots.
Before he knew it, the bell echoed through the classroom and students started to leave their seats. However, Bam did not move from his seat. He had put his things into his bag, but he still remained seated. He silently watched as Ville talked to some random students before they left the classroom. Was he jealous? You could say that. The man wouldn’t even hold a two second conversation with him, so why should he with others? Finally it was just the two of them within the classroom, and Ville had yet to notice he was still within the room. He just remained silent as he watched his substitute teacher erase all of his writing off of the marker board that hung on the wall behind his desk.
“Don’t you have a class you need to be attending?” Ville voice finally reached his ears after a few minutes of silence. Maybe he did notice him.
“Maybe.” Bam answered, still not moving from his spot.
“Then what are you still doing in my classroom?” he questioned as he put down the eraser and turned around to face his student.
Bam remained quiet to the question asked to him. Reaching down, he grabbed his bag and shouldered one of the straps. Then climbing to his feet, he stepped down the aisle and made his way over to the door. Coming to the door, he came to a stop. “Trying to figure you out.” he finally answered before slipping out the open door.

He silently sat on top of one of the picnic tables outside of the college. It was lunch time and he really did not seem to have an appetite. Sighing softly, he brought his gaze down to his hands. Before school started this morning, he had forgot to wear a beanie so strands of his hair were blowing into his face from the soft breeze that danced around him.
“It looks like someone just ran over your dog.” a soft voice filled his ears, a hint of a joke lingered with the words.
He slowly brought his gaze up to look into a familiar set of green eyes. “Just thinking, that’s all.” he replied as he gave a reassuring smile.
“Thinking about your birthday next week?” Nicole questioned cheerfully as she climbed onto the picnic table next to him.
Honestly, he had totally forgot about his birthday coming up next weekend. “I can say that the thought never crossed my mind.” Bam answered while looking away from her.
Nicole sighed softly at her friend’s slight depressed state. “Care to tell me what’s wrong then?” she questioned carefully, hoping she wasn’t crossing any lines that he did not want her near.
Bam thought for a little bit before shaking his head no.
Nicole sighed at his stubbornness. “Brandon, you’ve been hiding within that damn mind of yours since that night at the club over two weeks ago. Now tell me what’s wrong, or I will force it out of you.” she demanded as she looked over at him. She didn’t like seeing her friend like this, but he was being way too stubborn to talk about it.
Bam sighed softly, still refusing to look over at her. Sometimes she was able to read him like a book, and today he did not want her too. “I’m fine.” he finally spoke aloud.
“Liar. Did something happen at the club?” she questioned, wanting to know what was causing her friend to be like this.
Bam honestly did not want to tell her about that night. It could cause both him and Ville to get in trouble if the wrong people found out. As he tried to keep his gaze away from her, he looked around the school grounds and his eyes came to a stop upon a figure in the distance.
“Bam, I’m trying to talk to you.” Nicole spoke softly as she noticed him staring off into the distance. Wanting to know what was more important then their conversation, she followed his gaze and saw that he was looking at someone familiar. “Did something happen between you and Ville?” she questioned, slowly starting to put pieces of the puzzle together. First with Bam saying that he had a thing for their new teacher. Then with Ville questioning her on how to gain Bam’s respect. There was something going on.
Bam heard her question and quickly whipped his head around to face her. “Of course not!” he answered quickly. He knew he had been caught and quickly climbed to his feet. Before Nicole could say anything in protest, the bell echoed across the school grounds. “See you later.” he added before quickly making his way back towards the building.
Nicole opened her mouth to say something, but stopped herself as she noticed that it was no use. Looking back over to where Bam had been looking, she watched as Ville crossed the school grounds, heading back towards the school as well. Not only did she want to know the truth, she was now determined to find out the truth.
