Delilah returning to Court | 3rd person log | Ota, tag Athena and Rachel
Delilah could have stayed in the countryside with her family for an additional four days - she'd been given three weeks leave - but she was itching to be back, and to solve the mystery of the second spy. A Spade, but whose? Not Athena's, for certain. He'd been a low Number, with no known loyalties. So Delilah had decided to return early. Her family would be moving into new living quarters the day after she left, to protect them (Athena had the address, after all), but today she was the only one moving. Her few things were packed into the back of her car, and she arrived at Spade Castle at dusk.
It was drizzling slightly, so she pulled on a cloak as she gathered the most important bags and walked through the front gate. Delilah had expected rumors to have been spread in her absence, and so was prepared for the whispers as she walked in. No doubt the contemptible trio had done their best to discredit her in order to win over Numbers more loyal to David. A pet Five of Julien's sized her up as soon as he spotted her, and she glared back. She supposed she ought to expect a challenge from that one, soon. But he shouldn't be too hard to defeat. She'd been watching him, knew some of his weaknesses. And of course she'd been training almost nonstop while she'd been away.
Delilah went first to her chambers where she put away these few important things, and then, having closed and hidden safes and set locks, she made her way to the throne room to announce her return.

The next morning, quite early and when she was sure no one was watching, she slipped out of the Castle to pay a visit to a certain Queen of Diamonds. Hopefully she had one ally yet. And perhaps Rachel would have some of the answers she was looking for. Who was vying for the King's throne? Or - was David still alive?
