Picking out a costume

Delilah was looking forward to the masquerade. It would be fun - even if certain things did come to pass. She had her suspicions, but no real evidence of anything, and hadn't passed on what little she did know to her King. He wasn't the target, anyway, if she was right. And if she was wrong - well, she'd make sure he had a guard detail, just in case.

Delilah still needed a costume, however, so she'd gone to a nearby shop to browse. She liked the Pirate Wench costume she'd found, but then she'd stumbled into a whole selection of cancan dancer and saloon girl outfits which were just as fun.

At first she just looked at the reds, which would compliment her hair, and she found two costumes she thought she liked, but neither seemed quite right. Blue would contrast nicely, but though she liked the bodice on one, the skirt and sleeves weren't quite right, and there wasn't a feather for her hair. Delilah liked the use of fishnet on a purple one, but again the skirt was wrong. Mis-hung in the purples there was a pink and red one that was perfect, so she grabbed that, added it to the pirate wench costume, but kept looking.

There were warrior costumes for women that had a certain appeal. Roman, mostly. She liked the cape on the short-skirted ones, but one of the longer-skirted ones really caught her eye, if she could find black sandals to go with it. She grabbed that one, too, and then Delilah went to the changing room to try them on. Which one would she pick?
