I feel the same way about friendships sometimes. And honestly I have felt the same way about you a couple times. I call people, I email, I IM people.... Well and all I get is: nothing, "i'm busy", "I don't know." What I figure is that sometimes we have to forget about how fickle people can be, and how much friendship seems to mean so little to people; and just keep trying. Or even spend time growing with God during our loneliness.
on to a new subject.
PDCPC doesn't own you! If you are not flaking out on your VOLUNTEER duties at your church, they have no right to say anything. thats what i don't understand. How churches believe in ownership, even membership, really irks me. We are all Christians. Ie., we are all in the same family. A healthy family works together, commmunicates together, fellowships together, and prays together. No wonder why the "church" is so F'ed up. The church has this 'evangelism conference" and leaves it at that, what the crap?! That isn't a sign of a healthy church. I believe in being commited to a "church", being a "regular". But sticking to one lifeless ghetto.....anyways. I've been called all kinds of names because I attend different churches and groups. But you know what... I don't care. because I believe the Bible would have me fellowship with my fellow brothers and sisters.
Here is a mind bending question, maybe not for you or a handfull of others in the desert>>> If it is ok for us to go on short-term christian vacations (missions trips) to various off the beaten path places of the world to fellowship and encourage fellow believers, then how come it is wrong for us to travel across town to fellowship and encourage fellow believers???
Lets kick it sometime, we probably have alot to learn from eachother.
yeah i know that i have treated you the same way, and i am sorry. i honestly don't know why i ignore people occasionally too. i really enjoy your analogy of missions trips. it is really true once you sit an think about it.
