Tonight, I went to Virgin Megastore and bought some CDs.

Among them was the Radio 1 compilation Established 1967, which features covers of a track per year for each of the past 40 years. The songs are performed by 'today's greatest artists', which means there's a lot of Pigeon Detectives and the Twang and that sort of thing littering the scene. ( Read more... )

I'm listening to the Garbage greatest hits comp just now, and it's totally taking me back to the 90s. Remember when 'Vow' started playing on Alternative Nation? If you think I'm not the sort of person that buys contact lens solution whilst visiting the USA, just because it's cheaper, then you don't really know me, do you? I also purchased Tom's of Maine toothpaste because the selection in England is limited to like one variety. And CDs and clothes and shoes. Also Clif Bars. So it wasn't all practical.
