I’m going out of town this weekend. Not too far away, just Lexington. It’s spring break for my sister and her kids and I wanted to do something with them. The first part of the week was hectic with doctor visits and illnesses for just about every member of the family. Long story short, all we have time for is a quick weekend getaway. My sister needs a break and I want to spend some time with the niece and nephew. I made reservations for Friday and Saturday nights. Through Expedia’s lower prices plus a $50 coupon, the price was ridiculously low - less than $48 per night including taxes. I’ve been scoring major savings lately. Go me. Anyway, the hotel has an indoor pool so I expect the kiddos will enjoy that. We have cousins living nearby and plan to meet up with them as well. When I asked what everyone wanted to do this weekend, our first answers were - Chipotle! (me), Cold Stone Creamery! (kids), Cheddars! (sister). Yes, food is a priority with us. I rephrased the question to ask what else would everyone like to do. Barnes & Nobles! Joseph Beth Booksellers! Half-Priced Books! Yes, that’s my crew. Looks like we’ll be eating a lot and hanging out at bookstores. Sounds good to me.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
