This is a book that I probably wouldn't have read if a friend hadn't pointed it out and offered to lend it to me. That said, I'm glad she did. Biographies are always fun to read since it is always fascinating to see life from someone else's perspective.

I've been listening to 1776 by David McCullough (unabridged) on CD.  The most striking thing to me in listening to it is how little of the specifics I know or remember of the Revolutionary War.

Also, its fascinating how much history puts current events into context.  1776 was a rough year for the Americans and if there had been polls done back then ( Read more... )
