Mark Hall wrote this the day he was diagnosed with kidney cancer.

For those of you following the saga of my foot, today, the doctor pronounced me 'healed'. It will be tender, and some of the muscles have atrophied, but everything looks better than expected. I'm happy.

My voice came back. Probably, I never told you it was gone. I love to sing, and I have an untrained operatic voice. In other words, it makes a decent sound and my range is three or four octaves.
