This morning, I woke up aching all over. By this afternoon, I was feeling sinus and ear pressure on top of it. So far, no fever or cough.

Took decongestants maybe an hour ago. It seems to have made my headache worse.

And of course this is the week wherein Everything Is Due.

Spent the afternoon trying not to breath hexanes. The vapor pressure is quite high, so success is hardly guaranteed. I failed.

I feel nauseous and have a splitting headache.

+ I've been granted AHCCCS coverage.
- It's effective March 1st, in spite of their screwup with my address, so they won't cover my surgery bills.
- They decided on a subcontractor for me. It's the only one on the list that doesn't have either of my ADHD medications in its standard formulary.

+ I had a productive day of bureaucrat wrangling.

So, I spent about 2/3 of Saturday asleep (not continuously). In doing this "listening to my body" thing, I wish I knew why it asks for some of the stuff that it does. Is it just that Th/F is an exhausting couple of days? (Although full of cool stuff, like making it rain chloroform inside a container.) Or is it also that I'm starting to get sick? Today, I applied for the Arizona state healthcare program. This involved twisting my brain through paperworkish contortions to the extent that doing my taxes afterwards was actually a relief. Among other issues, the income and cost of living tests are unable to cope with intervals longer than a month, which doesn't exactly work out well with my ( Read more... )

Had my post-op checkup today. Was given a clean bill of health, and can now go back to moving furnature on a whim. I'm expected to feel assorted minor twinges for another few weeks, until all of the dissolvable stitches have broken down ( Read more... )

Having a terrible time trying to rotate sleep schedules to mesh well with my class schedule. Yesterday I couldn't fall asleep. Today, my body seems to have decided that I was taking a nap, for I'm wide awake at this inhumane hour. *sigh*

I've been off the pain meds since Sunday morning or so, and things are going pretty well. I typically wake up stiff and a little sore, but it improves as I get moving around ( Read more... )

I've just recently gotten out of, and then back into, bed unaided. First time since surgery. Woo! Also starting to taper off the painkillers. I'm reducing dosage rather than extending time between them, since the half-life seems likely to remain the same ( Read more... )
