I was pondering that just-add-hot-water noodle bowls cost far too much for what one's buying. Then I realized that I could just as easily make my own.

Sweet version:
* 1 serving couscous
* dried fruit to taste
* sugar if desired
Stores at room temperature.

Savory version:
* 1 serving rice noodles, or other fast-cooking pasta
* 1 slice of bullion cube, size calculated from intended volume of whole cube vs. intended volume of soup. Alternately, package spices as desired.
* 1 serving dehydrated or frozen veggies (from a DIY standpoint, freezing is easier due to lack of special equipment). Frozen is still portable, just not more than one day prior to planned consumption.
* For additional protein, a small tin of fish or dried tofu flakes (usually a baking supply) can be added.
Stores at room temperature or in freezer, depending.

Preparation:
* Boil water. (Electric kettles are Good.)
* Add to soup mix.
* Enjoy.
