Name a quality you like about yourself: I can read people well. Within ten minutes of talking to someone, I could tell you what they might have gone through in their childhood, why they act the way they do, hell, I could probably tell you their favorite color. I also like the fact that generally, I’m pretty easy to get along with.
Name a quality you hate about yourself: I’m a typical thirteen year old girl, and generally being an angst machine comes with the territory. As does despising your looks, obsessing over your weight, and starting rivalries with possible competition.
What motivates you?: The people I love. I know I sound cliché, but what it all comes down to, is that my friends and family are the reason I have something to live for, the reason I strive to be a better person. Without love and support from others, we would all end up being old people who talk to their cats all day.
What do you fear?: I fear quite a few things. Mainly, I fear abandonment. I am incredibly devoted and somewhat dependent on my friends, so the thought of them leaving me or deserting me almost brings me to tears. Also, the idea that maybe, one day, everything I’ve worked so hard on to achieve, will have eluded me, slipped through my fingers. Spiders aren’t my best friends, but that’s not important.
Who/What influences you the most?: I certainly have a certain person in my life who helps me through everything, and teaches me about myself everyday. You know who you are.
How did you come across this group? CTG posted the banner in his LJ. And I thought…”Why Not?”

Favorite Color: White. It’s really clean.
Favorite Bands/Musical Genre: I think I’ll post five, since to post all of them would result in major outbreaks of madness. The Birthday Massacre, The Postal Service, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy, and Nekromantix. I like Darkwave, EBM, Psychobilly ect.
Favorite Book: “The Catcher in the Rye”, “A Clockwork Orange”, “The Virgin Suicides”.
Favorite Movie: The Shining. It doesn’t get any better in my opinion.

Now for some opinions
Organized religion: I have no technical religion, I believe what I believe and am perfectly willing to discuss them with someone. However, when I feel attacked by someone’s opinion, I start to wonder if they’re beliefs are actually things they believe, or simply something programmed into them. In simplest terms, don’t shove your religion down my throat.
Minority rights: I don’t really have an opinion on this.
War in Iraq: I’m not for it. Then again, I’m not for any real war. Some things are worth fighting for, and for me, I don’t believe that oil and the idea that there might be nuclear weapons doesn’t justify the taking of innocent lives.
Human cloning: Everything in moderation, as they say, meaning as long as things aren’t taken out of control, I have no real issue with this. If things become unsafe, or terrible things start to happen because of it, I’m sure we’ll all either be A.)Kicking ourselves for ever thinking this was a good idea, or B) Gloating about how we were right and everyone was wrong.
Space exploration: The universe is there to be explored. It sort of makes up who we are. Things are there for us to either find delight or disappointment in. The general instinct of curiosity seems to push us to keep taking steps toward finally finding out if limits actually exist.
Abortion: A law was recently passed in my state saying that a girl under the age of 18 cannot get an abortion without parental consent. I think this is a terrible law. My mothers a rape therapist, and I know a girl who was raped by her father, and became pregnant from that. Cases such as that are good reasons to get an abortion, but don’t use it as some sick twisted form of birth control.
Gun control: I don’t really have an opinion on this either>.<
Influence of mass media on society: I’m sure when you look at me, I look just like another MTV loving teen. But I despise what the media has done to my friends. I think that the media is there for one reason, to entertain, when you start to take that out of proportion, you need to do some soul searching.
Your philosophy
Do you believe in a higher power?: Sure do, whether that thing created all life and rules every action is debatable.
What is your outlook on life?: Life is what you make it. If you insist on being sorry for yourself all the time, then your life, more than likely, will be miserable. If you want to see things for what they really are, beautiful and kaleidoscope images, mirrored by your own emotions, then maybe, things wont seem so bad all the time.
What is love?: Baby Don’t Hurt Me, Don’t Hurt Me, No more...
Okay, seriously. The word is thrown around waayy too much. I’d like to think it’s whatever you wish it to be. Some people feel that they never find love. Others believe, like me, that they’ve already loved at a young age. It’s not a joke, it’s a serious thing, and whatever it is, I’d like to experience it more.

Why do you want to join, and would you be a worthwhile member?: I’ve never joined a community like this, where it’s really about intellect and not your looks and music. So I’m hoping this is a place where I can start to mature a little more.
