Henry sleepover

Mar 01, 2014 22:51

Today we picked up Henry for an extended sleepover...till TUESDAY! His other grandparents have and him since Thursday when Steph and Steve took off for their FIRST TRIP since Henry was born, nearly 3 tears ago. They are in sunny Mexico!

Henry was more than happy to get in the van, that housed his favorite thing...dogs. That kids was born loving animals. He was a hoot, saying hello to Mick and as we pulled near the freeway, He looks up and sees a billboard with a half of a lady only in a bikini top, and says, "what's THAT? Why is that lady naked?", OMG, Russ almost drove off the road laughing! Henry was SO concerned!

First stop Trader Joes...ya just gotta love the kiddie carts...they do...and he only lost his load once, going around a corner too fast :)

I tell ya, the kids these days are hilarious! Or maybe that's what being a grandparent is like.

We picked up a few essentials, cheese, crackers...dog 'tooties' and headed down the wine isle...where Henry gave me this look...hmmm, red or white?

And then no kidding...he did THIS all on his own...gotta love this kid!

At our house we still had a few unopened Christmas presents, which Henry was glad to open...with Micks help....

He took a nap with Mick...who absolutely adores Henry, and plays with him nonstop.

And then we made cupcakes!

It was a fun afternoon...and now everyone is exhausted....and only 3 more days!

What I do have to comment about is how wonderful ALL my dogs are. Damn, I'm so lucky! Not only are they great with Henry outside, but inside as well. They are just plain great dogs.

Tomorrow we will do some more fun stuff...maybe work in the yard, or go to Home Depot and he can take Biz or Tru or Jammer. Being a grandparent is wonderful, it really is...there is nothing more wonderful than a little kid saying , "lub my nana".. It will melt ya I tell ya!
