One more day...

Well, tomorrow is our last day with Henry's sleepover. Like any grandparent, I think he is awesome, but more than that, I am SO proud of what a nice youngster our daughter is raising. He has not once cried or asked for his mom and dad. He talks about them in a balanced way. they are on a trip, and they will be back soon, he says. She has prepared him so well. He has a present of a book, crayons, little car or something like that all wrapped up for him to open one each day. When the presents are finished, mommy will be home! So clever.

He is easy...loves the dogs, loves life, and is super sweet.

Some of the fun things he has said over the 4 days...
Why is that lady naked? (Pointing to a billboard of a lady in a bikini)
That was SUPER GOOD Nana! (I managed to get alot of leaves in one rake full)
Mick is my dog, I love him!
We should get some of those flowers for my mommy! (At Home Depot)
Why can we take a dog into the store? (Home depot trip)
I think it's time for a special Henny treat! (He wanted donuts)
There a mouse in your house! (As he was stealing little nibbles off a cupcake as he went thru the kitchen a few times)

So fun.

We had alot of adventures in these short days...

Learning to play 'make believe' with puppets that were mine when I was a kid 50+ years ago.

Jumping on furniture and making forts!

Taking dogs on walks in stores...

Riding on lawn mowers that don't move...

Picking out flowers for his mommy...

Training dogs in stores...

DONUTS!!

Sleeping with dogs...

Playing in puddles...

Poking at worms and helping build things...

It was a WONDERFUL few days I will never forget...there was SO much more...and will be so much more...it has been amazing. And yes, I'm tired...but would do it again in a heartbeat.
