December did not go as planned. I failed to reach my unofficial goal of 200K words in 2020, but I did manage to write 191,796 words. Which is more words than I have ever written in a year, so I'm still calling it a win! I clocked in at 5,085 words in December rather than the 13,500 I had hoped for at the start of the month.

November 2020 is officially my worst month as far as writing goes. I wrote a sum total of 1,139 words. Yikes. It brings my total up to 186,711 words so far this year. That means if I'm going to reach my unofficial goal I need to write 13,289 words in December.

I really need to stop putting off writing this post each month. *sigh*

September had a low word count, just as I had expected. The August Fic-A-Day takes a lot out of me, and it results in little writing in the following months. I had hoped I would be able to write at least 10K, but alas, I clocked in at 6,332.

I ended up writing quite a lot in August; 48,542 words to be exact! Making my total as of September first 172,794. I reached my goal of 150K with chapter six of my Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Criminal Minds/Stargate SG-1 crossover fic, Dandelion, on August 18th. Apparently I was so focused on the AFaD that I completely forgot about my monthly post. So for the sake of consistency, here's the short and sweet of July. I wrote 16,656 words in July, putting my YtD word count at 124,359 words! According to my schedule I should've written 87,500 words by August, making me 36,859 words ahead!
