Okay, last week I started swimming and playing tennis and just being outdoors and doing different things other than being in the gym. Well, I started looking up articles today online about swimming for weight loss. Apparently, while swimming can help your cardio system and muscle tone and posture, it is not recommended for weight loss. There were explanations and stuff, but I still can't wrap my head around those explanations. Anyone have any ideas or a way to explain it to me so I can wrap my head around it?
Jeff and I play tennis occasionally when we're together, but he lives 2.5 hours away and I don't have anyone else to play with on a regular basis. I do have some other friends who play maybe once a week or every other week, but I want to find enjoyable things to do other than an elliptical machine or treadmill. I'm not a runner and I've tried running. Just isn't for me.
I'm really bummed, but I'm still going swimming in a few!
