A LOOONNNG Saturday
First Saturday of the summer semester. Totally high maintenance day. Students and faculty were demanding first thing. Seems to be the norm for first Saturdays. What doesn't seem to be the norm is how much this day is DRAGGING! I'm so ready for my bed.
Jewel woke me up licking my face early. Usually that means "let me out" or "feed me". Usually she doesn't do this until the sun comes up and if I ignore her, she'll go back to sleep and leave me alone. Not this morning. She was so antsy. Then it hit me. I thought "Please tell me I didn't use THAT bottle to fill her water bowl up." Sure enough I did. Instead of drinking a bowl full of water, Jewel had a bowl full of diluted Tequila. Actually, she didn't drink it all, but she drank enough of it. I cleaned her bowl out and filled it with chilled filtered water from the fridge. She drank the entire thing! I hope she's ok when I get home. I can't wait till I get home. It will be nap time before going to get my hair cut!
