Discouraging
Went to Boston for a Sakai (open source Learning Management System that ROCKS). Learned TONS of things and headed back to Charlotte with my sails full of wind. So many ideas. Get back to Charlotte, boss lets the wind out of my sails by basically telling me we're not adopting Sakai. Frustrated. Discouraging. I fear I'm going to be "stuck" again at work with no mental or intellectual stimulation. Just the same mundane tasks to do. Glad I networked a bit, but no one is hiring still.
Went to a Red Sox game, Legal Seafood, Harvard, Harvard Square, Harvard Yard, MIT, Feneuil Marketplace, saw the tall ships as I was flying in and went to visit the harbor to see them again, but their masts weren't up. Visited the Sam Adams brewery. Did a lot considering I was there for four and a half days and three of those days I was in conference sessions.
