Reasons today is good

1) My husband snuck out of bed early this morning to let me sleep in while he walked the dog, went grocery shopping, and got me McDonald's for breakfast. I woke up to a Bacon Egg & Cheese biscuit (which is one of my fav breakfasts EVER), and Casey filling my candy jar with kitkats and promising to make lots of sweet potato chili this afternoon so I don't have to cook as much this week.
He was also complaining about how crappy the ghetto schnucks is because the floral people were gone and even after he had someone page them, no one came to help him get me a pretty flower for the morning. He was mad his plan wasn't complete. He was mad because he had hoped to get me a pretty flower to look at and make me happy today while he's gone at rehearsal.
OMG he's sweet. I love that man.

2) I have lots of homework. But on the upside, the book I have to read this afternoon is about Medieval European and Arabic intellectual history. Right now I'm on a chapter covering the 12th century Renaissance. YES! So good! And then later I have to read about Spanish Visigoths. DARN! (Sarcasm, I can't wait.)

3) I signed up for Fall I pottery starting tomorrow. I wasn't going to. I don't really have time tomorrow, and two of the 6 Sundays I'm busy (but I can just go other days those weeks to make up for it). But the idea of not going, of not having pottery as the something else I do, made me really sad. So I'll make time. And mugs.
PS - if anyone wants something ceramic made for them - porcelain vases, colorful coffee mugs, big coffee table bowls for keys and crap - let me know. I literally have no more surfaces for pottery in my little apartment. Plus I'm getting really good.

4) Last night I dreamed that Casey and I were on an epic road trip with Bryce and Julia. It was awesome. We all had so much fun. I can't wait to go to Colorado for an October vacation! :-)
I have to see David when I go. I've missed him the last two times I've been in CO, and now it is a dire obligation that we must hang out, maybe go bowling, and hopefully make peanut butter malts.
