Last night I read Religion and the Decline of Magic, and it was really cool. It had sections on Medicine, Catholicism, Magic, Superstition, Protestantism, Prophesies, Astrology, Witchcraft, Faeries, Ghosts, etc throughout the Medieval and Early Modern periods. SO cool. It was like 600+ pages so it had lots of detail and cool info and examples. I highly recommend if you want a neat religious/cultural/historical read!
I'm excited to talk about it in my Early Modern class today. And here's what I'm wearing to class and office hours, if you're interested!
White Button-up: Ann Taylor Loft
Black Tank: Gap Outlet
Dark Jeans: Express
Black Heels: Payless
Glass Cross Necklace: Gift from Grandma
Black Earrings and Ring set: ? Gift when I was a kid
I like the idea of using a tank top as a mock vest. This tank top is a bit big on me so I usually only wear it to work out - it's making it's school-wear debut today. I paired it with this shirt because I found this black and white glass necklace in the bottom of my jewelry box and thought it was kind of cool and wanted to wear it today.
What do you think of this cross? is it cool, or too clunky? too religious?
Either way I like it with my black earrings and ring. Its the only black jewelry I own - I really need to get a black necklace that's not a big glass cross with flowers on it.
I have found that it's tricky to take pictures of yourself. My balcony's a bit too bright in the morning, and most spots in my apartment are a bit too dark. Exposure issues!
Anyway, I have a feeling it's going to be a great day. I'm in a great mood! I went to bed early, that's the ticket! Happy Tuesday Everyone!
