Happy Birthday to Casey!
It's my husband's birthday! Yay! This morning we took the dog on a long walk around the fancy historic homes on Westminster, now he's playing Zelda, and soon we're gonna do a picnic lunch in the park. Should be a lovely afternoon!
I had a nice time with my family in. It's so good to see them and it was wonderful to show my Dad around St. Louis and my current apartment, because he hasn't been to the city since my first year here. We had a good time eating out and going to the park and walking around the beautiful historic neighborhoods and my campus. Sammie stayed with me and Casey and we watched a couple good chick flicks and ate brownie batter. It was very relaxing and fun to have them in, and I loved having sushi with Dad again - it'd been too long! I liked getting to introduce my family to Charlie! Mom had brought him big bully sticks and buffalo bones from Dogma, and he was just in heaven. :-)
I'm excited to give Casey his presents. I got him three. One is boring and practical, on is fun, and one is sweet. The boring/practical one is belts. His current belt is reversible fake leather and falling apart, so I got him a brown belt and a black belt for work. The fun one is a subscription to UFC magazine (if he thinks he'll read it - I'm starting with just the one issue) and the sweet one is a scrapbook that I'm going to put all his St. Louis theatre stuff in. I hope he likes them. I had a good time at Target picking them out. I also got some stuff for myself there as well - I can't help it. There's just too much good stuff to be had at Target!
