Whether it's simply frivolity, vanity, or boredom, I can't tell, but I'm writing about my outfit again. Just because I'm not a fashion blogger doesn't mean I can't blog about what I wear. I like dressing for academic-casual. Today was in the 40s - it got cold this weekend - so I decided rather than mope about the delay of spring I'd embrace what little time I have left with my favorite cold-weather clothes, like my skinny jeans.
I jumped on this trend's bandwagon to take advantage of the fact that having chicken legs is, however momentarily, in style. Woohoo!
I took a few pics of my relaxed teaching outfit today, but since I waited until 4pm the sun is weird and my shirt's all wrinkly and rumpled from the day on campus. Ah well.

I am absolutely in love with this shirt I got while out shopping with Sammie when she was here in February. She actually bought the same one in pink so we're matching sisters! Haha. I love the subtle shine and sparkle to the shirt, and its shiny silver buttons. It's fun without being like "I'M GLITTERY!" I also love that Express understands that women have breasts, and cuts their shirts so that I don't get a funny pull and space in the top buttons. Thank You!!!
Here's the jewelry I wore today - simple, but my necklace and wedding bands play into the sparkle and the earrings into the pale blue of the shirt. Also, you can't tell, but my lipgloss (VS "cupquake," a gift from Casey's mom) also has a subtle sparkle to it. Additionally, it smells/tastes like vanilla icing. Delicious.
I still haven't figured out exactly what kinds of shoes to wear with skinny jeans on a regular basis, but today I went with little black flats. Grammie got me these years ago to dance in, and as a result they're Totally broken in (as visible by their wear), and perhaps the comfiest things I own that aren't Saucony running shoes. I paired them with my favorite argyle socks, cause it is still cold. I know it's nerdy but argyle just screams "academia!" to me and I love it.
And for good measure, some action shots of me in my Monday clothes, workin at my office, as uploaded from my cell phone. Here I'm happy to be in my cubicle, but sad I have so many exams to grade.
