feeling lazy, but it was a good day

Today by five pm I hadn't gotten a lot done, productivity-wise, and that kind of bummed me out. I was having a hard time concentrating on research, which I had hoped to power through all day, because the book I was reading wasn't good. But, despite this mood of lazy wasted day, I actually had a very nice Thursday.

I got dressed and put on a pretty sweater I forgot I even owned (the winter sweater bin is a black hole!) and went downtown to meet Casey at his office to go to lunch. St. Louis Bread Company (or Panera for you non-Saint Louisians) was delicious as always. I love our Thursday ritual of me meeting him downtown to go out to lunch, because it's so relaxing just to sit down somewhere nice together for an hour.

While it made me feel kind of lazy at the time, I also spent some time thinking about what I want to spend these Amazon giftcards on. The possibilities are so endless that it's hard to decide where to start! I thought it might be fun to get some new jewelry - I hardly ever buy accessories but every time I watch Bones I'm always admiring her eclectic jewelry. Didn't really know what I was looking for, but did find a few things to consider. I don't know if jewelry's really what I want to buy though...

The evening made the day worth it. After dinner Casey and I played some more lego star wars. We just unlocked bounty hunter mode, which has been a blast, and we were able to buy a few more characters. My most recent fav is Admiral Ackbar. It's a trap!

We also went dancing out at the Atomic Cowboy, and tonight the good guy was DJing so the music wasn't boring. Casey and I were really good tonight! When the music's more fun, with lyrics and interesting melodies, there's a lot more to play with stylistically. It always feels good to get out there and dance together. Wish we could go more often.
