Pottery class started yesterday! I'm really excited about this next session. Not many people showed up to the first class (I think they forgot it was starting January 2nd) but that was good cause I got more one-on-one time with the instructor. Tom did a lid demo, and it was a much different kind of lid than those I'd been shown to make before. I gave it a try and hopefully next week when I trim the things they'll fir together nicely! I'd always shied away from lids because they're tricky, but I think this seems pretty do-able and I'm excited to try more lidded things this semester.
In other news, (and I never thought I'd say this) I bought myself some ugg knockoff boots. They're from American Eagle and I got them on clearance:
I didn't want to buy real Uggs because they're expensive and I prefer faux fur when it comes to fashion. But anyway, I've got them on now and I may never take them off, because they're super cozy, like giant slippers. I often, (like Colorado Moenning family members are wont to do) wear hard-bottomed slippers out of the house, and these are just a more fashionable and socially acceptable way to continue to do so! yay.
Alrighty, it's the first weekday of the new year, and it's time to get back to the library. Adieu, Christmas Break!
PS - What should I spend my Amazon Gift Cards on? Too many possibilities!!!
