First Paper, Done.
First 2 weeks of grad school, done.

I really like the Thursday night, even if I have lots of work hanging over my head, I can take a few hours to make time to go dancing! Last night because of the rain Danielle and I weren't totally feeling the dancing idea, but we went anyway thinking we could just leave early if we got tired, but instead we stayed the whole time because we had so much fun! I love going to dances and not having to set up, tear down, and DJ! Responsibility free dancing... I particularly enjoyed getting to dance with other beautiful awesome swing dance Amy cause she's a really good lead. My favorite dance of the night was with Jeff cause he's soooooo gooooood (and a super dream-hunk). I also love dancing with "teacher-man" because he's just such a pleasant lead, Mal & salsa-guy cause they each have so much fun, and west-coast Dave who apparently moved from Denver and has been to the Mercury Cafe! Oh, and of course, suspenders-guy Daniel who's at a presbyterian seminary! I can't wait to tell MY Daniel at Presbyterian seminary about that! I miss him hardcore. I hope next time to get to dance more with really-good-old man, because he seemed like he'd be a total jerk/dance-snob, but he came over and was like "let's get jivin!" like Joe from the Merc, and was totally fun and nice, and a very good dancer. Also like to try out dancing with black-polo guy, who tonight was wearing a white-polo. Anyway, that's enough about random people at the Atomic Cowboy for now. Danielle and I have so much fun addressing people by the names we assign them and talking about what kind of dancers they are. Despite a few spilled drinks, the night was a total blast.

And we got to SHIM SHAM! I need to work on my shim sham, especially the half-breaks. Aw Shim Sham makes me miss Julia. I can't wait to teach that crazy dance to Danielle in the living room!

In other news, Casey makes his St. Louis debut in The Philadelphia Story at the Theatre Guild of Webster Groves! YAY! I can't wait to see it tonight! Danielle and I might get all fancied up for the theatre!

Also, the other day I had lunch with Megan Regel, which was fun, even if she was pretty tired from all the driving. I miss Cornell people.

ALSO, Greekfest was this last weekend! Danielle and I took Figo, the tiny tiny puppy, down to the huge festival. LOTS of meats on sticks, gyros, cheeses, spanikopitas, and baklava everywhere! There was also an ouzo slushy machine... noooo thank you. I had some retsina and spanikopita, and then Danielle and I split Loukoumades for dessert. Surprisingly I never saw them in Greece, but we did make them in middle school home ec once! They were super tasty. Because Greekfest was soooooo hot, we couldn't stay, or eat any gyros, for fear of passing out in the heat from too much meat. Everything smelled awesome though.
I missed traveling in Greece with Julia, Sammi, Dan, & Bryan so much!!!
"Tha ethala mia gyros pita parakalo!"

Okay. Back to to deciphering this medieval manuscript.
