What'd you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
- TRAVELED TO GREECE WITH MY BEST FRIENDS! Hiked the longest gorge in Europe, discovered my love for yogurt and honey, swam in the Mediterranean, spoke some Greek, felt the power of Zeus...
- Saw someone I knew in real life as a television star - Nate Dern!
- Became VP of Swing Club. Along with that I'd never choreographed before. And Mom finally saw me dance with Casey.
- I also learned to Shim-Sham, 20's Charleston, and tried balboa
- Added washer fluid to a car, added oil to a car, waxed a car, and jumped a car's battery. 4 different cars, 4 new experiences!
- Took the GRE
- Caught a bat
- Took a graduate level course and translated ancient Latin!
- Got hypnotized. ... Yeah Right. What a hoax.
- Got super excited by the magic that is historiography which made History ten times cooler to me.
- Learned that if you want to bake an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.
- With the help of a deadly Croatian Parliament member, I learned to LOVE UFC with Casey
- Began learning French
- Lived in a single!
- Dated a 17th century French gardener, an Arabic speaking suicide bomber, and a Shakespearian Intern. Ah love! C'est bon!
- Survived a Cornell blackout with my friends
- Brought Casey to Lake Zurich
- Was friends with the Student Body President and the Homecoming Queen!
- Realized how amazing Maggie is as a classmate, RA, and suitemate
- Learned the phonetic alphabet
- Hugged Casey's mom
- Had to deal with the fact that my aunt had breast cancer, and was then proud of her when she beat it.
- Compiled my resume and CV. Also wrote my first cover letter and personal statement.
- Saw Barack Obama speak
- Held a 10 day old baby kitten
- Became an intern, organized a museum exhibit, handled priceless artifacts and documents
- Received some family heirlooms from my Grammie and helped Margie compile the family tree some more
- Finally explored all of King Chapel
- Painted the Kiosk and the Rock
- Saw Back to the Future
- Applied to graduate school!
- Took my sister to a concert at Red Rocks
- Played Dungeons and Dragons
And my New Year's Resolutions for 2008?
1) Be even closer with my friends, and not spend time being annoyed by their flaws. It's our last semester together and I want to enjoy the hell out of everyone instead of being annoyed that they drink too much coffee or gossip too much or whatever.
2) Try to eat healthier and get in shape a bit and sleep more (ha! We'll see).
3) Give a kick-ass presentation at Student Symposium
4) Keep in better touch with my family. Because I love them!
