"Well, I'm back"

Seven days into 2008 and I have yet to update? How unlike me. I just ordered my 2007 lj book. Good times. I don't trust having this much of my life online unless I have a hard copy too... it could vanish in the blink of an eye I feel.

I rang in 2008 with a bang indeed! In the morning of New Casey WAS THERE! Despite my mother's well-crafted lies on my birthday to quell any and all suspicions I had, he was there! He woke me up, and of course I didn't have my glasses on so I thought it was Dad or something, so I just said good morning, and then I heard my wonderful boyfriend's voice say "good morning!" and I did a double take and leapt out of bed. I was SO excited! My parents flew him out for a week with me at the end of Christmas break. Oh it was absolutely a blast.

My birthday was great too. Went to the Mills and bummed around with my friends and laughed and did a puzzle, went to dinner with my fam (YUM KOBE AN SUSHI!), and then back out with my friends for dessert, wine, and cosmic bowling! It was a fun day.

Had a BLAST with Casey, did I mention? We went skiing at Loveland (Casey loved that the skis had a triforce on them, and that he could say he skiied the Continental Divide in the Rockies!) and that thrilled Dad. He's such an exceptional skier, and occasionally teaches at winter ski camps. So of course he had a blast helping us with our skiing. I worked on my sucky form (which got much better) and Casey did GREAT out on the slopes! I couldn't believe how great he did. We had fun. Also went tubing with the Hannah, Logan, Connor (visiting with Kim) and DB and Sammie. That's like extreme sledding, and tons of fun. Casey liked skiing better. That was like the highlight of the trip for him. I loved cracking up at Birdcage, going out to an expensive delicious dinner at Chart House, having New Year's Eve fondue, watching Juno, just, everything. Fun break.
