I have a habit of checking out books in the library that haven't been checked out in decades, if they've ever been checked out at all. I feel a twing of sadness when I see books that are someone's entire life's work and research and have never been checked out. Don't worry little book; I'll check you out and make use of the information you contain!
I have to write a book report today, so I read the book I'm doing it on (Spain to England: A Comparative Study of Arabic, European, and English Literature of the Middle Ages) yesterday cover to cover. It was well written and fascinating - a very easy read. I broke it up and read from 1-3, 4-5, and 10:30-12:30 and finished the whole thing in 5 hours. That's 40 pages an hour! wooh! I was really proud of how fast I was clippin' along. Probably because the book was so good.
I hope someday when I write a book, it doesn't sit useless on a library shelf forever.
