Guns and Sexual Ignorance
A friend called a couple nights ago, at about 1am. Her 19 year-old younger brother had a doctors appointment the next day to get some warts removed from his ass. That night he left the house, not telling anyone where he was going. His mother walked into his bedroom and found a gun case on his bed, the gun was gone.
This right here is reason for alarm, clearly. So, I don't blame my friend for being worried as hell, I was too. But what really caught me as absurd was what my friend wrote in between the lines. Now, keeping in mind that my friend has only had sex once in her whole life, with one person, three years ago, she thought that the her brother's ass warts must be a side-effect of HIV. She honestly thought that she must have contracted the virus from her one sexual experience and had transferred it to her brother via the family toilet.
About an hour later, they did get a hold of the brother. He turned out to be at the Mystic Lake Casino. He brought one of the family's guns (they have about thrity) with him, in case someone hassled him over the "big winnings" which is was planning to procure. I'm not sure if this story is more of a reason why there needs to be more gun control or better sexual education in this country. It's a scary thought that there are people out there who still think that you can get AIDS from a toilet.
