Hell of a weekend!

-Friday night, 'Alumni' gathering for Reclaim, the gender therapy group I used to attend. Was extremely nervous about going and seeing people, but it turned out great. :)
-Amber came over to cut my hair and pre-game with me before going out to Dragged Out at the Town House for my birthday. Watched the show, got wicked drunk, and danced the night away! DD Jon brought tacos when he picked us up and then got me coffee in bed Saturday morning; bless that man.
-Slept late Saturday and got a killer massage in the afternoon. White-knuckled my way through a Packers/Cardinals game (HEARTBREAKING loss...ugh) and had some insane sex before bed.
-Stayed in Sunday morning instead of climbing, then went out for coffee and grocery shopping with Jon. Had to go into work to deal with a crisis but it didn't take too long. Listened to the Panthers/Seahawks game on the radio and rejoiced in the downfall of my enemies (Seahawks).
-Went to the gym with Jon (he's been running, I've been biking) and biked 3.7 miles.
Now it's Sunday bath time. :)

Tomorrow is my birthday and Jon has the day off for MLK day; I am working though. Rebecca and I have a dinner reservation at Manny's Steakhouse and then Jon is taking me to Meritage on Tuesday...I look forward to eating VERY well for my birthday. Bought some tea with birthday money from grandparents this weekend too.

Already done with 4 books for the year because I re-read Tamora Pierce's "Circle Of Magic" YA nonsense...so much fun! I am currently tandem-reading Junot Diaz's "This is How You Lose Her" and Cordelia Fine's non-fiction "Delusions of Gender" (a Christmas gift from Jon).

Also working on some recipes that I picked out for this year; already made bacon leek knots and a thai noodle salad. This week's recipe is fresh biscuits from Alton Brown's first "Good Eats" book.

Next weekend is the Cumberland tournament, at which I will be competing. I am considering going out for grappling, because I am trying to embrace the spirit of Julia Child's quote "The only real stumbling block is fear of failure...you've got to have a what-the-hell attitude". That is my mantra for 2016. :-P

i love books, gen-dur, quote, life update blaaah, real adult life, food is f-ing wonderful, living in a big city rocks sometimes, transition, therapy, taste the rainbow, things i love, drugs & alcohol
