I'm currently sitting in my basement listening to a Sox game on the radio whilst my dog tries to get me to give her my dinner. This is definitely more like it.
Sad but true fact of the day: I did a four-hour drive in three and a half hours just to listen to a baseball game. What can I say, though? The game makes me happy. At the moment, the Sox are up 3-0 on two homers, one by Youk with Mikey Lowell on board and a solo shot by Tek.
...and now Jed is in the game. And I just flipped out in front of my family. I am so sad.
Speaking of my pet prospect,
blinding_voip linked me to an absolutely lovely article on Jed today, which is
right here (thank you!). We've got one or two choice quotes in here...
Jed on Dustin Pedroia: "It's actually kind of funny because he played shortstop and I played second in college and now we've kind of flip-flopped," he said.
(I always thought that was cute, too!)
Jed on Jacoby Ellsbury: "He's a great player," Lowrie said. "As long as he continues to be that good a leadoff hitter, get on base, steal bases and really just cause havoc, I think people will be excited."
They all remember one another from college. This makes me extremely happy.
(And one thing that makes me even happier - the Dance Off is totally on. Much love.)
