Jon's officially on the DL. He's not eligible to come off until June 1st. I know that's only about two weeks from now, but I don't want to go that long without seeing my favorite pitcher, y'know? He's special.
The other half of the future dynamic duo is fine, though. Thols is back in Buffalo's lineup today after tripping over things yesterday, thankfully. I feel bad, though, because he's struggling and he admitted he's
trying way too hard. He really just needs to get back into a groove and relax more, but he's just not taking it easy right now and he's, well, slumping.
For those who care,
Jed is alive. Just a reminder.
Apparently most players I love get hurt a lot. It's like I'm a kiss of death or something, which is kind of sad when I think about it. I want to see these people do well and they end up getting injured or sick instead. It's kind of depressing.
So let's do a prospect watch to feel better!
Stefan Welch is currently batting .307 on the season (adorably, of course), which means he's looking sharp enough to hopefully be up in Binghamton soon. He's blocked in Bingy by Nick Evans, but since Evans can also play the outfield and Welch can also play third base this shouldn't be a big deal.
And finally, some real-life stuff - my kid brother just got his driver's permit! I feel old. I'm so proud of him, though! To celebrate, we are going out for ice cream tonight. Yay!
