Josh Thole got hurt in Buffalo today. It was a very minor injury and he's going to be day-to-day at worst, so since Jon Niese isn't on the DL they now have matching injury statuses, too.
They are so unfairly symmetrical that it blows my mind.
Thole's injury is, well, making me giggle uncontrollably, though. Unlike his counterpart, who had a scare on his right hammy the other day, Thols...tripped over a bat.
Josh Thole also left the game with a leg injury in the 11th. While catching, Thole tripped over a bat when trying to make a tag on the eventual game-winning run. Oberkfell was more optimistic on the status of Thole's injury.
My guess is he's fine and it was precautionary, especially since Jason Pridie had already gotten hurt earlier in the game and Ruben Tejada was dizzy and left early. But really, Thols? You tripped over a bat? Did you do that on purpose so you'd match Niese or what?
I love these two and their oddly parallel lives so freaking much.
