I just realized Monday is MLK Day. Three-day weekend, three-day weekend! YAY!
I decided to skip Russian today because I am just beat and I have a killer schedule on Wednesdays. About ten minutes after I made that decision, I got an email from my stats professor saying that class is canceled today. Again. So now my day is much less killer and maybe I should have gone to Russian after all. Ooops.
Speaking of Russian, I'm having lunch with the US ambassador to Russia today. He was the ambassador to Bulgaria when I was there. He gave a speech at my Peace Corps swearing-in. Anyway, he gave a talk to the general public yesterday and it was kind of boring, because he was in public and had to say all kinds of nice things about Russia because he's the ambassador (I've seen several ambassadors and consuls speak and it's always like this; they have to be diplomatic because they're diplomats), but I hope when we students get him alone maybe he'll tell us some horror stories.
Next up: get dressed, have more tea, read about drugs.
Oh, on the fannish front, I did write about four pages (~1000 words) of my SPN gen AU on Saturday. I'm pleased with it so far, although I had a realization yesterday that means I have to rewrite some of it.
