"See you in a week," Wyatt nodded to the driver as he closed the door to the car that had brought them north. Turning toward the small cabin, he raised an eyebrow as his new bride stared up at the snow-covered trees.

Shifting the weight of both suitcases, he nudged Adora with his shoulder and nodded toward the door. "It's cold," he told her, amused at her awe of the landscape. "Don't you get to dance with snow, this time of annual?" he asked as she moved to the door and pulled the key from her pocket.

"It's not real snow," she replied, giving the door a push as the lock clicked. Stepping into the cabin, Adora moved to one side, giving Wyatt room to get inside, and she stared at their home for the next week.

It was a perfectly cozy scene, like something right out of one of the holiday sets she used to dance through. "I'll get a fire started," Wyatt said as he moved toward the fireplace. The cabin was one large room, each part designated for its specific use by furniture. The kitchen consisted of a stove, icebox, sink, and some cupboards; with a table and chairs separating the dining and living room areas. On the far wall were two doors, which led to a bedroom and bathroom.

It was fairly obvious that the owner of the cabin didn't have a large family, nor did they do a lot of entertaining.

Adora opened one of the cupboards and found a collection of cups, as well as three tins. One was marked TEA; one COCOA; and one COFFEE. The kettle was easy to find, as it was sitting on the stovetop, and once the pot was filled with water and she figured out how to turn the stove on, Adora pulled her coat off.

"Tea?" Adora asked, over her shoulder.

"Sure," Wyatt huffed as he forced a few logs into position and looked for a match.

She opened the other cupboards, finding dishes and a collection of cooking and baking ingredients; the icebox had some meats, fruits and vegetables, eggs, and milk; the breadbox held a loaf of bread; and there was a small notebook on the counter, full of simple recipes for two.

"How far did he saw the nearest market was?" Adora asked as she flipped through the handwritten notes.

"Uh," Wyatt stood and wiped his hands before peeling out of his own coat. "A mile or two, I think." Wyatt tossed his coat on the sofa and moved toward the kitchen. "What do you need?"

Adora shook her head and motioned to the icebox. "Fully stocked. Just wondering, in case we use all the milk."

"There's milk?" Wyatt asked, almost excitedly. He moved around the table and opened the icebox, making an impressed face at their options.

"Cocoa and coffee, too," Adora nodded, motioning to the cupboard.

"I haven't had cocoa since-" Wyatt made a face and swallowed.

Adora bit back a laugh. "Would you like cocoa, instead of tea?" She didn't have to wait for his answer, and held out a hand. "Milk, please. And find me a pot."

It took only a minute for him to find a pot, and Adora nodded toward the book of recipes. "Why don't you see if there's anything you'd like for dinner." Wyatt nodded and reached for the book, and leaned back against the table.

He made some faces at a few of the recipes, and didn't even bother reading the one, once he saw two of the ingredients. Deciding the milk was warm enough, Adora scooped a spoonful of cocoa into the empty mug, then poured the milk in.

Wyatt took the mug, let out a held breath, then sipped and smiled. A second later, he leaned to one side and reached into his pants pocket. Adora made a face as he produced a roll of mints and thumbed the wrapper open, then popped one of the candies into his mug. He gave the mug a careful shake, just enough to cause the liquid to shift, and took another sip.

"Perfect," he sighed, then offered the drink to her. "Want to try it?"
