Barry Allen burst in to Oliver Queen's apartment, catching a potted poinsettia as he halted to a quick stop.

"Flash," Oliver acknowledged blankly, lowering the water glass in his hand.

"Oh, Oliver, hey," Barry replied quickly. "You have any plans tonight?"

"Not that I'm aware of," he replied carefully, wondering what the Star City scientist was going to say next, especially as he was dressed in full Flash gear.

"Good. I need a huge favor," Barry said, holding up an envelope. He sped out of the room and was back a second later, now holding one of Oliver's tuxedo jackets still on its hanger. "Put this on," Barry instructed.

"Oh, right now?" Oliver asked, after a short pause.

"Yes, right now!" Barry ushered. "Unless-"

"NO!" Oliver stepped back, hands raised. "I will dress myself." Barry nodded and waved for him to get upstairs after Oliver took the suit.

"Hurry, please. Thanks." As Oliver headed up the stairs, Barry turned and asked: "Hey, do you have a pen?"

"In the first drawer," Oliver called down.

---

Oliver was almost at the bottom of the steps when he called to Barry: "Okay. I'm in a suit." Barry set down the pen and glanced up. "Why am I in a suit, Barry?"

"Because I need you to go to a Christmas party for me." Oliver made a face, but Barry threw up his hands. "Please, Oliver. I promised I'd be a plus one, but I have a thing-"

"ANY DAY, BARRY," came Cisco's voice in his earbud.

"Please, Oliver. I'll owe you. Double." He picked up the envelope and held it in front of Oliver. "Address." Next, he raised an arm and a wormhole opened in the center of Oliver's apartment. Oliver turned to start to argue, but Barry shoved the breach device into Oliver's hand. "Tell her I'm sorry."

Before Oliver could say anything, Barry had shoved him into the breach.

---

Oliver followed the attendees up the steps, offering a smile and the invitation to one of the security officers at the door. Once inside, he continued to follow the crowd into the main ballroom, and started scanning for a familiar face amongst the decorated trees and twinkling lights.

---

Kara Danvers was at a table, off to the side, unaware of the party around her, and poking marshmallows onto toothpicks. Once the creation was complete, Kara picked up one she had already made and started making them dance on the tablecloth.

Oliver didn't hear what the snowmen were saying to each other, but he assumed, from the frown on her face, it hadn't been a good conversation. He fought a chuckle, a second later, when Kara unceremoniously yanked all three marshmallows off the toothpick and shoved them in her mouth.

"That's one way to win a fight," he offered as Kara jumped up and fiddled with her glasses. As the last marshmallow went down - whole, if she had to guess - Kara smoothed her dress and glanced up at Oliver.

"Oliver Queen. What," she lowered her voice and glanced around him, "are you doing here?"

"Ah," Oliver nodded. "Barry was unavoidably detained, and asked me to come in his place." No matter how hard she tried to hide the disappointment, he saw it.

"Oh, okay," Kara nodded. "Well," she paused, trying to think of something to say, then gave him a bright smile. "Welcome to Earth 39." Oliver smiled and nodded.

"Thank you."

"How did you even get here?" Kara asked, fiddling with her glasses again. "I mean, I guess I know how you got here. But, how did you get here?" she asked, pointing toward the floor.

"Oh, well, that involved finding the first person I could. Three people completely ignored me before I spotted a police officer. Once I knew I was in National City, it took a few minutes to remember why I knew that name. Thankfully," he nodded, "it's easier to play the 'from out of town'- card when you're actually from out of town."

Kara gave him a smile and nodded, then Oliver glanced around. "So, do they have drinks on this Earth?"

"Oh gosh! Sorry. Yes. This way," Kara waved, pulling him toward the bar.
