Particle wave duality, aka the cornerstone of quantum physics. I do miss talking about science with Eric, something that he trusted to share with me either because I could understand it, or because he explained it really well. I'll always remember his compliments about being able to geek out with me. I enjoyed that trust, and trust for me to show him things he didn't know. Seeing that link about physics brought me back.
Speaking of compliments, tonight the Chief complimented me on my managerialism!! This was in front of the entire research team. Another coworker remarked today how he never has her back but perhaps it's her. Basically something wasn't getting done, and i couldn't do it for them, so i scheduled a meeting so that we'd all work together, but independently. Doctor Sitting, hand holding, whatever it takes to keep things on track. "I have to sign off now, but I really like the way you handled this Khathy; it's how we have to keep doing it, and we'll keep doing it this way.
