Overheard in the office:

Coordinator on the telephone: "Hi I am trying to get access to a MUGA scan. It's a scan that measures the ejaculation fraction of the heart."

(a MUGA scan measures the EJECTION fraction of the heart - you know how much blood is being pumped out)

"Ejaculate" used to have a broader definition. An energetic interruption of a conversation was rightly called "an ejaculation". It was synonymous, in that sense, with interjection.

It is denotatively correct to refer to the ejaculation fraction of the heart, but my bet is that people avoid it, in the same way that we don't use "intercourse" (y'know, like casual conversation) or "gay" so much any more.
