Небольшая статья в Ньюсайентист (знаю что это гадость, но чтож делать) напомнила мне о том, как в свое время, пришлось процеживать информацию и определять что можно, а что даже и нужно читать. В итоге к целому пласту информации доступ был ограничен, в основном из-за наблюдения за теми, кто эту информацию потреблял. В общем, по косвенным признакам ( Read more... )

Haha! I really like the juxtaposition of the photo & the article! It looks like command central-I think someone may need to go on a diet ...:)

Interesting article. (There was also one about 5 emotions u didn't know u had that was worth the read.) I'm more interested in the quality of info not only bc it's a time saver, but it affects health & well-being & interaction with the world. Positive, high-quality info begets pos. thinking leads to pos. living. It's quite magetic. I read this book on positivity and it changed my life. thanks for sharing!

I can not say that positive information can lead to something more than rose eywear. Information must be realistic otherwise it might mislead. As wel as one study suggested that during positive effect you are less likely to make fast and relevant conclusions (that is what I remeber from it).

Hmmm, information sources should absolutely be accurate and realistic. Though many news sources continue to publish an increasing amount of editorial content labeled as news, rather than reporting more closely to the facts or just declaring it officially editorial content. Science adheres to scientific method to produce factual results ( ... )

Perfect comment! I do believe that without positive thinking we could still be in a stone age. But you have to admit that there is no criteria for either positive or negative information. Only we make it like that what makes it far more sophisticated than simple binary division. That is why I prefer neither negative or positive information sources.
