キャビンボーイ: プロローグ Cabin Boys: Prologue
A bolt of lightning screeched over the gray, abyss sky. Rain poured down over the little fishing boat like a waterfall. The dark waters of the rough sea shook the boat as a rollercoaster.
“Yabu! Get into the boat’s cabin! It’s a big storm!”
The young teen obeyed the old man’s orders. “Hai!”
Yabu ran into the stern. A big wave was growing as he sprinted, but Yabu didn’t see it coming. Shoon popped his head out of the cabin’s door.
Shoon ran to help the little teen to run faster. “Come on Yabu! Faster!”
When their hands met, it was too late: the wave crashed onto the boat. The fishing boat broke like puzzle pieces. Both teens sunk into the water.
Shoon tried to swim up, but the ship’s debris was in the way. Finally, holding a drift wood, Shoon reached the surface he gasped for breath.
His relief lasted only a few seconds until he realized something. “YABU! CAPTAIN!”
“YABU, CAPTAIN, WHERE ARE YOU TWO!” He called again.
Shoon looked around the disaster site hopelessly like a maniac. Until finally, something caught his eye.
It was a hand on the surface, a yard away.
“YABU!”
The older teen swam frantically towards the hand, but holding the drift wood. The icy water stung Shoon with pain, but the teen kept swimming. Small, rough waves challenged the little swimmer as he tried to reach the hand. Shoon couldn’t care less, he swam as faster as his arms and legs allow him to.
He finally reached the hand. Shoon grabbed it and brought whoever was down in the water up to the surface.
It was a fainted Yabu.
Shoon slapped Yabu a couple of times. “Yo, wake up Yabu! Wake up!”
The older teen slapped again and again, until finally his arm had no more strength. Until finally his eyesight is getting blurry. Until hypothermia overwhelmed him…

Sorry for the short prologue, it’s a prologue, so I don’t want to give it away too easily… This one is supposed to be one of those “feature-presentation” fics, the ones that I’m really proud of, I really put a lot of effort into this series...notice the metaphors and descriptiveness...also I'm using Japanese phrases like "Hai" or "Arigatou" in this fic...I thought that it would make this fic more realistic...xD
Also, be warned that this fic will be a little violent, angsty (actually alot of angst), and some...uhh...inapropriate stuff: don't worry, there's no sex scene, lol...but there will be mentionings of it...}:)
Hope you don't get too annoyed with the cliff-hanging ending...xD...I will try to finish chapter 1 today... :)
Warning: There will some political mentionings and setting (You're probably saying in your mind, 'Wtf? is she like exaggerating'...when chapter 1 is updated, you'll see what I mean...)...all of this fic is TOTALLY fiction! I'm not racist or anything, so please no hard feelings...
