Mm, yeah, that's a bummer. I'm glad to read your take on it because I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch it or not. I find Adam Sandler oddly...well, not progressive exactly, but I think his humor is often pretty humane and populist in a kind of interesting way, in amongst the dude-style crudity and fetishization of idiocy, etc.. But this one just looked like it had too much potential to be really, really bad, in spite of it's ultra slashy premise. *sigh*
I knew going in that it was going to be sort of creepy, but when they managed to mash four or five different PC buttons in less than fifteen minutes, I knew I had to go.

Uh, I'd re-check my sources if I were you.
Seriously, I was intrigued when I first saw the premise/previews, but the ensuing reviews told me all I needed to know. I remember one (straight) reviewer classifying it as a "homophobic gay rights movie," and going on to explain why that was a really bad idea.
The thing about it is, I was prepared to deal with the homophobia. It was the fatphobia, sexism, and racism RIGHT OFF THE BAT that made me turn it off.
