ALSO, this episode and his scenes with Tina were a million times better than anything he's done or will do with Salma. I don't want to keep bitching about her, but this episode really highlighted for me how much more chemistry and awesomeness come with Tina and Alec vs. Salma and Alec. Seriously, how am I supposed to give a crap about Jack and Elisa when he looks at Liz like he loves her? COME ON.
I AGREE WITH YOU. This Salma business is pointless; she is just so awkward and out of place on the show. I don't understand why Alec and Tina think she's awesome, because I don't see it. I also don't understand why Alec and Tina don't see how much (romantic) chemistry they have with each other, because ARE YOU KIDDING ME THEY ARE AMAZING TOGETHER.
Jack is so clearly in love with Liz right now. Also, I just love how surprised he is whenever she bails him out (figuratively and literally) of these messes. Seriously, I almost want them to just be friends for a little while longer so that Jack can experience what it's like to HAVE a friend.
I don't think anyone gets Salma outside of Tina and Alec. At least that seems to be the consensus amongst those I know. I was mildly hoping she'd show up briefly in the beginning of this episode so that could count towards her six episodes. And, well, they have both admitted that their is sexual tension between them, and Tina has said that she considers the Jack/Liz relationship to be the center of the show. I totally think they're going to end up together. They know they are awesome, and Alec is in control of how Jack looks at Liz, and he's definitely looking at her with love eyes.
Seriously, I almost want them to just be friends for a little while longer so that Jack can experience what it's like to HAVE a friend. You know, me, too. I was thinking about this, how Jack has probably not really had a close friend in years, what with his string of short-term girlfriends and business 'friends' who would sell him down the river, but Liz really just cares about him, and oh, I love it
( ... )
EEEEEE...too hot. I was squealing at this point. Thank you Steve Buscemi.
Tina and Alec are truly amazing together. I cannot even describe how epic they are on screen.
Re Hayek: The only thing I can hope for is that Jack realises how much he cares for Liz more than anybody else and that nobody cares more about him than her, because seriously, the looks that Jack was giving her tonight was SCREAMING 'I think I am falling in love with you'. Who looks at friends like that?!!!
