Okay, so we've been spammed twice now -- and once with porn.

A  look at the community page shows that our maintainer is gone -- and there are no mods.

Does anyone know how to get a new maintainer/moderator appointed so we can deal with this?

I had been wondering this when I saw the maintainer's username was stricken through. If anything, I can volunteer myself for maintainer or mod. Otherwise, I don't know how proper appointments would go about without the mod aside from community voting/volunteering.

I'm also willing to do it -- given the spamming, I'm thinking there should be a team of folks from different time zones, so this can be taken care of ASAP.

I'm not sure how transference of such things is done, just that it CAN be done, like in the cases of Metaquotes and SailorMoonFans.

The Abuse Prevention Team can take action if we know for sure that sugarland31 is completely unavailable/non-contactable, though.

Well, I clicked on her, and it says the journal is deleted and purged.

However, in certain circumstances, the Abuse Prevention Team can transfer maintainership of a community if it has been abandoned. Both of the following criteria must be met in order for the Abuse Prevention Team to take action:

* The existing maintainers are unresponsive, deleted and purged, or declare that they no longer wish to maintain the community.
* There are situations occurring within the community - such as rampant harassment or spam - which require a maintainer's intervention.

So I'll go ahead and file a report. This needs to stop.

Oh thank goodness, I hope this gets resolved quickly. Honestly, I've been wanting a new maintainer for ages now, since the comm creator has been non-existent for ages and ages now.

I'm not gonna throw my name up there to mod, since we already have 3 excellent volunteers up in here. ;D
