So. Looks like Obama's gonna be our next President. Excellent. I feel optimistic and hopeful about the future of our country, which is a nice change. Even doubly so, seeing as this was the first presidential election I got to vote for. I'm still annoyed we don't know the results for a few of the really close races like Indiana and North Carolina ( Read more... )

I think it was just CBS, I was watching on the BBC and I don't remember that (though, I could have just not noticed or have forgotten now). I also thought the boos were classless, but the speech itself was excellent. As was Obama's!

Turnout was massive and I think Obama's campaign had a lot to do with that, on election day I saw campaign workers going around to check on people and make sure they vote, something I've never before seen (I know it happens, but never before enough for me to actually see it).
